To those nurses with whom I have had the privilege to work side by side at St Joseph Medical Center, Houston Methodist Hospital, Legacy Southwest Clinic and CHRISTUS San Jose Clinic—together we have brought patients back from the brink of death, assisted countless births and witnessed new life emerging, grieved and cried with patients and their families, and made this world a better place.
